What would you give in order to take less medications and save more money? Almost 50% of people in the US are taking at least 1 prescription medication in the last 30 days. If you take a look at 3 or more medications you see over 23% of the country still according to the CDC. What’s worse is we take more as we age! People 65 years and older make up 12% of the country but consume 34% of all prescription medications!
Would you believe that we as a country spend over $300 billion on prescription drugs each year? Where does all of that money go? Why not find something that allows you to get off those medications so you can save your money and do the things you want to do?
Here’s How!
In 1999, Blue Cross Blue Shield BCBS published a study they conducted over 7 years. In this study, they wanted to see if people under regular chiropractic care that used a chiropractor as a primary care physician saved money and used their insurance less. Over those 7 years, the numbers were astounding! According to the study, “over a 7-year period demonstrated decreases of 60.2% in-hospital admissions, 59.0% hospital days, 62.0% outpatient surgeries and procedures, and 85% pharmaceutical costs when compared with conventional medicine IPA performance for the same health maintenance organization product in the same geography and time frame”.
So, not only were people going to hospitals less because they were sick less, they were taking less medications!
